Going to the Galibier

Going to the Galibier
Dawn as I gear up to ride north from Marseille

The great pleasure of riding to the Alps of Upper Provence for a few days on my CBR600RR and meeting with my riding mate from Annecy, riding his GSX750. We rode together many of the Alpine cols around and up to the great Col du Galibier (2642 m.) between Savoie and Provence.
Going to the Galibier is always special: it’s one of the highest cols in the Alps and a place where Savoie meets Provence. We chatted up there with a group of sportsbike riders from Savigliano (Italy), also fans #FabioQ20 and #Bez72 in MotoGP. Then a CRF300 Rally bike rider from Avignon (France) who was bivouacing his way round the Alps on and off the tarmac. Great to ride together again with Arno, and also great to ride with another four-cylinder sportsbike.
